Transferring Data between Portrait 4 and Word and Excel
...is as easy as 1-2-3

With just three simple steps, data can be transferred from an Excel spreadsheet, graphed using Portrait 4, and copied to a Word Document.

This makes Portrait 4 an ideal tool for encouraging students to write about and present mathematical concepts.

Step One

Copy data from Excel:

	Highlight Data
	Choose Copy in Edit Menu

* Note: Screen shots are taken on Windows Mobile, however Portrait 4's functionality is consistent across all of our supported platforms: Windows, Mac, Linux, Web & Windows Mobile.

Step Two

Paste Excel Data into Portrait 4’s Pie Graph Template:

	Select all fields and paste
	Hit the pencil to see the graph

Step Three

Copy Image and Paste into a Word Document:

	Copy the image
	Open Word and paste
