disjoint,
adj. (of two sets) having no members in common, having an intersection that is empty; for example, the odd integers and the even integers are disjoint sets. Two sets are disjoint if and only if the properties of membership are mutually exclusive, and in a Venn diagram, such as the one below,

the overlapping region is shaded to indicate that it is empty. (In Euler's circles, they would be represented by non-intersecting circles.)
