Terri Belcher, ISM Author, Hired as First Executive Director of NCSM

Halifax, Nova Scotia -- September 30th, 2005 -- Terry Belcher, one of the authors of Interactive School Mathematics (ISM), has been named the first Executive Director of the National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics (NCSM). NCSM supports leadership in mathematics education at all levels. Its international membership strives to achieve excellence in mathematics education.

Previously the secretary of NCSM, Terri is a Mathematics and Equity Educational Consultant at the University of California.
