Anne Collins, ISM Author, Inducted into Massachusetts Hall of Fame for Mathematics Educators
Halifax, Nova Scotia -- September 30th, 2005 -- We are proud to announce that Anne Collins, one of the authors for Interactive School Mathematics (ISM), has been inducted into the Massachusetts Hall of Fame for Mathematics Educators. Since May 2001, the Association of Teachers of Mathematics in Massachusetts has recognized outstanding contributions to mathematics education in this way.
Anne is the director of Partnerships Promoting Student Achievement in Mathematics at the Boston College Mathematics Institute. A long time mathematics teacher in Weymouth, she is the former Massachusetts Statewide Mathematics Coordinator (1997-1999). She is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Association of Teachers of Mathematics in New England.
Anne is currently working as a professional development provider and mathematics teacher coach. Her main focus is working with school districts to provide professional development for middle school teachers.
