Press Release
August 2nd, 2006
MathResources is pleased to announce that it has created a new piece of software called 2nd Take. 2nd Take is an easy-to-use screen capture program designed specifically for the Nova5000 and its Windows CE operating system.
With 2nd Take teachers and students have the power to take the content and images they find while browsing the web and use them in homework assignments, essays or media projects.
School districts and software vendors working with the Nova5000 will also find 2nd Take an indispensable tool for creating training materials. “This was the initial reason for creating 2nd Take” says Ken Nauss, the Director of Business Development for MathResources. “We needed screen captures for the user’s guides and training materials that support the math software we have created for the Nova5000.
2nd Take is MathResources’ latest addition to the powerful set of educational tools it has developed for the Nova5000, an affordable, new Windows CE computer developed specifically for use in schools. Besides 2nd Take, MathResources offers Portrait 4 Graphing & Calculating, powerful but simple and intuitive software for graphing and calculating that comes pre-installed and ready to use on every Nova5000.
MathResources also offers Inside Math: Vocabulary & Concepts and Visual Math Vocabulary as potential upgrades for schools who want to use their Nova5000’s to build the vocabulary students need to succeed in mathematics, especially on high stakes tests.
