Contact: MathResources President Ron Fitzgerald joins Board of Directors of Atlantic Association for Research in the Mathematical SciencesOn December 20th 2004, Evan Kipnis of the Atlantic Association for Research in the Mathematical Sciences (AARMS) invited MathResources President Ron Fitzgerald to join the organization’s Board of Directors. Since 1997, AARMS has encouraged and advanced research in all mathematical sciences such as statistics and computer science, in the Atlantic region. The board, chaired by Kipnis, is responsible for such things as ensuring fiscal accountability, monitoring scientific activities, and acting as the advisory body for the Director of AARMS. Mr. Fitzgerald is currently the president of MathResources Inc., an award winning Halifax based software firm specializing in educational math tools. His three-year term began January 1st, 2005.
